Labyrinth Sarah Bridal Gown Silk Ribbon Rose
This gown is inspired by the movie Labyrinth with the masquerade ball scene with David Bowie. This dress was meticulously studied to get as close to a replica as possible, but making it elegant enough for a bride.
This gown has a triple layer skirt - a full white satin underskirt and then two layers of crystal organza. The top layer of crystal organza has been gathered up and fastened with a rhinestone brooch (exact brooch subject to vary). The bodice is constructed with a reinforced twill lining containing decorative top stitching for a beautiful inside and outside look. The outside bodice has a double layer - gold and white lace topped with crystal organza. The neckline and front of the bodice has been hand embellished taking a whopping 13 hours of hand beading and silk ribbon rose work. Each leaf and flower cluster is stitched by hand to create the motif with real silk dyed ribbon. It is then accented with small pearls, white and silver beads, and some small floral accents. The center brooch is a crystal on top of a silver backing (subject to variation) and then has satin rose pins (removable for washing) that lead up to the sleeve.
The sleeves are affixed to permanent shoulder stays so your sleeves don't travel down your shoulder during wear and are puffed using a double layer of organza and lace (like the bodice) and gathered at the center puff (double puff sleeve) and are stuffed with netting. The bottom part of the sleeve is a organza over satin piece that shapes to a point and has a ring finger loop at the end to keep the sleeve from twisting or turning on the arm.
The necklace is a reproduction inspired by the movie and is included with the dress price. It contains green and clear crystal beads, pearls, and beads woven together as a multi-strand necklace piece. Clasp and chain in back for adjusting.
The headpiece combs are also included with the dress price. There are two separate combs in silver that stick into the hair.
